More than 110 years ago, all trains were steam locomotives, and each one had a coal and water carriage, and adding water and coal after arriving at the station was a regular job, which was the power source of steam locomotives. Water was used to cool the steam engine, decelerate the train and even combust. The right amount of water sprinkled on the coal, burning water decomposition to produce oxygen will make the furnace fire burn more vigorously. There are 16 water towers and 17 "water cranes" for water refilling along the railroad line. It is an "r" shaped water pipe, 4.5 to 5 meters high and about 30 cm in diameter. There is a tube sticking out of the top, such as the arm stretched out flat, more like a "crane beak" high, can be 360 degrees to rotate to add water to the locomotive; use the rotary gate valve, unscrew the gate valve, the water will be injected from the "crane beak" into the water storage tank. These water filling devices are simple in structure, easy to operate, beautiful in appearance, resembling the beak of a crane, people are imaginatively called "water cranes", which has also become a scenery on the stations along the railroad line.
